The magician tells the children that he is about to teach them a
trick. A nicely decorated tube is shown with a solid black wand
sticking from its end. The magician claims that this is a "magic"
tube which causes things to change colors. As he says this he
slowly pulls the wand through the tube and it seems to change to
white. The magician stops halfway with only a white wand sticking
out of the tube. The kids immediately become suspicious and
begin to yell for the magician to pull the wand all of the way out. The
magician balks at this and says that he will turn back to black. He
then pushes the wand the other way and course a black wand
protrudes from the other side. This can be repeated as long as you
can get away with it which won't be long. The magician tells the
children that he said he was going to teach them how this trick was
done. He takes the wand completely out and asks the audience
what colors they see. Of course they will say black and white and
the wand will show half black and half white. With a pass of his
hand and a "WATCH THIS", the wand visibly changes into black
and white stripes!
