The magician displays nine cards, eight of which are identical, and
one different card, known as the "Wild Card". For example, let's say
that the spectators are shown eight Two of Spades and one Seven
of Hearts (the Wild Card). The cards you receive may be different.
Four of the identical cards, the Two of Spades, are dealt face down,
while the other four matching Two of Spades are dealt face up,
leaving the lone Wild Card, the Seven of Hearts, in the magician's
hand. By merely touching the Wild Card to each of the eight
identical cards, all are transformed into exact duplicates of the lone
Wild Card. So at the end of the effect, the audience will see nine
Seven of Hearts resting face up on the table! No trace of the eight
Two of Spades can be found!
