Vanishing Sugar aka Sugar Shaker......$25.00
The magician shows an eighteen inch silk handkerchief on both
sides and then drapes it over his left hand which has been formed
into a loose fist. The handkerchief is pushed down into the fist
forming a pocket. Next a clear glass shaker that is full of sugar is
taken and turned upside down over a regular clear drinking glass
and sugar is seen to pour from its spout into the glass. Then the
sugar is poured into the pocket of the silk handkerchief and the
shaker placed aside on the table.
The audience can see that the amount of sugar left in the shaker
has diminished considerably so they are certain the handkerchief
contains a large portion. Now for the magic! The handkerchief is
tossed into the air and the sugar disappears into thin air! The
handkerchief is really empty and can be shown once again on both
sides.
If the performer wishes the sugar can be caused to reappear in
some unexpected location or from piece of apparatus that had been
shown to be empty before the start of the effect. This optional
ending is left to the sole discretion of the performer.
Salt is actually recommended instead of sugar because salt costs
less, flows smoother, and looks the same as sugar from a distance.
Also, the salt does not attract insects like sugar would. The special
sugar shaker measures approximately 6 inches tall and is 2-1/2
inches round at its widest central location. You receive the sugar
shaker apparatus and instructions.
