This is a versatile utility gimmick like the Thumb Tip, which can be
used for a variety of close-up effects. Its use is similar to that of a
Thumb Tip, except that this "Tip" or gimmick loads at the end of an
ordinary ball pen instead of your Thumb. It also has a larger "load"
capacity than the usual Thumb Tip.
The apparatus supplied comprises of a spun metal container, and a
ball pen. The spun metal container has another tapered smaller
tube inside. This inner tube is a perfect fit for the ball pen supplied. If
you push the ball pen into the small inner tube in the closed condition
(writing point drawn in), it will wedge into the inner tube firmly. You
can steal the tip at the end of the pen in this manner. If you press the
pen open (writing tip projects out), the gimmick will be ejected from
the tip of the pen.
This gimmick can be used to produce or vanish a silk handkerchief,
or change its color. It can also be used to cut and restore a rope.
