A spectator selects a playing card from the deck, remembers it,
and then shuffles the card back into the pack so the location of the
card is unknown to anyone. Now the spectator is asked to spread
the cards on the table. The magician says, "If I fail to show your

the performer removes his wrist watch and hands it to the
spectator. When the spectator looks at the face of the watch to
start timing the magician they are amazed to see that there is a
