The performer removes a deck of cards from its case and lays
the case on the table. As this is done the performer begins to
patter about Deja' vu. "Who knows what Deja' vu is?", asks the
magician. "Deja' vu is the feeling you have been somewhere or
done something before." The performer now places the deck
into his pocket and pauses for a moment. Now comes the weird
part. The performer picks up the same card case from which
the deck was removed, opens it, and removes another deck of
cards! Looking confused, the magician says, "I think I'm having
a little Deja' vu right now!"
At the conclusion of the trick you are left completely clean. Your
hands are empty, the deck and case are ordinary, and
everything can be examined.
With the Deja' vu deck you may also create the illusion of
placing two decks of cards into the same card case, one right
after the other.
