The study of the stars has enlightened us to believe that there exists
in space Black Holes. These holes are voids in space that swallow
objects that come in their path. The same principal can be
demonstrated here on earth using this gentleman's handkerchief
and a little magic.
The above is the set up for a variety of tricks and stunts you can
accomplish with the Black hole. When performed proper!y the hank
takes on a character by itself. The audience is naturally lead to
believe that the hank hides some trick or gimmick, yet it can be
examined and shown to
be free of trickery.
Of course the Black Hole is only a utility prop and holds no gimmick.
All gimmicks or sleight of hand must come from you. After working
with the Black Hole hank you will discover more and more uses as
your creativity is inspired.
Here are some suggestions:
SILK VANISH: Use and thumb tip and a nine inch silk. Drape the
Black Hole hank over your left fist. Push a pocket into the Black
Hole area and leave the tip. Push in the silk explaining that it is
being pulled into the Black Hole. Load the tip and show the silk has
vanished. The spectator may examine the hole if he wishes. Load
the tip back into the Black Hole and magically snatch the silk out of
the hole just before it was lost forever in the depths of the BLACK
HOLE.
COIN VANISH: Hold a half dollar or quarter in the finger palm
position. Drape the hank over your open left hand. Pretend to toss
the coin into the hole. Actually, finger palm the coin. Turn the hank
over at the exact same time of the toss. The hank is now being held
in the left hand fingers and thumb. This should look as if the coin
were tossed and caught in the hank and the coin is now being held
under the hank. (Practice the timing to make this smooth) Gently
snap the hank out of the left fingers and the coin appears to vanish.
The coin can be reproduced from behind someone's ear.
HOLE CHANGE: This move is very simple, however, it never fails
to astonish an audience. Secretly palm a jumbo half dollar or other
jumbo coin in the left palm. Place the Black Hole hank over the left
hand covering the jumbo coin. The jumbo coin will be covered by
the black spot on the hank. Show an ordinary sized half dollar in
your right hand. Explain that items that pass through the black hole
are permanently changed. Pretend to toss the half into the
hole(finger palm). Immediately turn the hank over to show that the
half has passed through the hole and grown to a jumbo half dollar.
The simple appearance of the jumbo coin is always an eye-opener
to your audience.
