The performer shows a packet of nine cards each of which is
shown in turn, and the cards are placed on the table, one face up,
one face down, etc., etc. All the cards are the same value except
for the last card. For example, eight of the cards are shown as
Two of Spades and the ninth card is the Eight of Clubs. The Eight
of Clubs is placed under each of the face down cards in turn and
when these are turned over they have changed into the Eight of
Clubs as well.
Now the face up Eight is dropped onto a face up Two of Spades
and the two cards are placed on another face up Eight. Each card
is shown front and back but the Two of Spades has changed into
an Eight of Clubs!!! This is repeated with the remaining face up
Twos and in each case the Two disappears, having changed into
an Eight of Clubs. At the finish all the cards are face up and they
are all Eight of Clubs!!!
