Three cards, each of a different color, are displayed along
with a window envelope just large enough to contain one of
the cards. These may be minutely examined by the spectator.
The Mentalist demonstrates that any color placed in the
envelope shows through the window.
The spectator is then asked to think of and remember one
color. The Mentalist then turns his back and places one of the
color cards in the envelope. The other two cards are placed
in his pocket. The envelope is then laid on the table, window
side down. Then, and not until then, the spectator is asked to
name the color they thought of.
The envelope is turned window side up and showing is the
very color the spectator merely thought of! The other two
cards are taken from the Mentalist's pocket, the card in the
envelope is removed and the envelope shown empty and
devoid of any trickery.
