The magician shows nine cards, eight of them are the nine of
Hearts and one is the Queen of Spades (the Wild Card). Four of
the nines are placed face down on the table. The remaining four
nines and the wild card are kept face down in the performer's
hand. The performer asks the spectator to name the wild card.
The spectator is correct but when the magician turns over the
cards that he is holding it is seen that the nines have turned into
Queens of Spades! The four nines that were placed onto the table
are picked up and placed beneath the five Queens the performer
is now holding.
Instantly, the performer counts the cards in his hand and he is now
holding nine Queens of Spades!!!
The magician remarks that if you were playing poker you would not
be allowed to have nine cards in your hand. So saying, the
magician places four of the Queens in his pocket. The magician
continues that there is no way you would be allowed to have five
Queens in your hand either. Finally, the magician turns the cards
over and he is now holding a Royal Flush in Spades!!!
