Display a piece of rope and tell the audience that you are going to
make it pass through your body, "This rope is going to penetrate right
through my body. In a second you are going to see it go right through
my chest and out my back." Turn sideways and hold the rope against
your body, pretending it is going through it. "Doesn't it look like it's
going through my body? Maybe if you squint a little and stand on one
leg it will look like it's going through." The audience will realize that the
rope is not really going through you, but is behind you. You repeat
this a few more times. "Some people actually swear that the rope is
penetrating my body." All of a sudden turn and face the audience
showing that the rope is really going through the front and out the back
of your body. The rope is pulled up and down your chest and then slid
out through the side of your body. "But, of course, that's impossible!"
