A solid window that is encased in a frame is freely shown.
Two playing cards (or business cards) are placed onto the
frame so one card is on each side of the window pane. Next
a sharpened pencil is pushed into the topmost card and is
seen to continue on downward through the window and
come out through the other playing card at the rear side!
Apparently the pencil has penetrated the solid glass! Now
the pencil is removed, along with the cards and while it can
be seen that the two cards each have a hole, there is no hole
in the window pane and no clue to this wonderful classic
pocket mystery!
This latest type frame is made of plastic, so it is possible to
eliminate the hazard of glass breakage. The piece of clear
plastic glass mounted in a solid plastic frame can be
critically examined both before and after the trick. Extremely
ingenious!
