This one's a stunner! No sleight of hand required. The principle
behind this effect is just amazing!
Two packets of five identical cards are shown. The performer
states that he has made a prediction as to which two alike cards
will match up during the demonstration in which the spectator will
have complete control of all the actions. This prediction is placed
aside but in full view of the audience.
The spectator is asked to spell out the question: "Will You Match
The Cards?" The spectator will have the option of starting the
spelling with either packet (no force) and will transfer one card
from the face of the face up packet to the bottom for each letter of
the words being spelled. Now here is the part that make this effect
a real baffler. At any point during the spelling the spectator can
stop and continue the spelling with other packet even if it's during
the middle of a word. Now whenever a word is completely spelled,
the two cards that are face up at the top of each packet at that
point are removed and placed aside, and then the spelling of the
question continues until all the cards in the two packets have been
placed aside in pairs. When finished it will be seen that only two
cards are matched while all the others are mixed and unmatched.
The prediction is opened up and it proves that the magician has
correctly foreseen the spectators actions of how the cards would
be spelled and its outcome!
Now for the real killer! The two matched cards are waved over
each of the four unmatched pairs and magically they all become
matched with there duplicate mates!!!
