Here's a beautiful vintage magic item that appears in like-new
condition. The magician borrows four nickels which can be marked.
The four nickels are stacked on top of each other and placed on top
of the closed left hand. A spectator is asked to remove the ring from
the magician's finger and examine it. The ring is placed alongside
the nickels resting on top of the performer's hand. The stack of four
nickels are picked up and placed into the ring. Now the ring with the
nickels is picked up with the right hand, reversed, and rubbed on top
of the closed left hand. When the right hand moves away there is only
one nickel on top of the left hand and the ring is empty. The
performer opens his closed left hand and the three nickels are found
inside, apparently having penetrated the hand.
