#1 THE COMEDY COIN TRICK
Performer borrows a gentleman's handkerchief, also a coin. The coin is
placed in the center of the handkerchief and twisted up in the hand. The
handkerchief, with the form of the coin in sight is held securely in the left fist.
Spectator is asked to hold the coin through the handkerchief. Performer
asks spectator: " Do you think it possible for me to have the coin leave the
handkerchief and pass into your hand without my letting go of the
handkerchief? It looks impossible but wait until you see my magic shears."
Here the performer exhibits a pair of shears and deliberately cuts the center
from the borrowed handkerchief, leaving the coin in the spectator's hand.
Need we tell you of the wonderful comedy produced?
The performer now offers to repair the mutilated handkerchief and explains
that heat is necessary. He proceeds to warm the edges of the severed cloth
with a lighted match and in doing so the handkerchief's owner gets a shock
as the heat is too intense and the handkerchief bursts into flames. It looks
like goodbye handkerchief! The performer asks the spectator for the small
piece of the handkerchief which has been cut off and claps it on to the
flame, extinguishing it. The handkerchief is opened out and Is found to be
fully restored. Both the handkerchief and the hands are shown front and
back, and the handkerchief is tossed to the owner. Not just an idea, but a
clean cut trick you will use.
#2 THE SILK PRODUCTION.
Performer rolls his sleeves up, then closing the left fist, he pretends to take a
pinch of air in his right fingers and drops it into the closed fist, first allowing
the "air" to warm up a bit. He then shows the right hand empty and reaches
into the fist and produces a beautiful silk handkerchief. As the silk is
withdrawn the left hand is also shown to be empty. Ireland's New Gimmick
has special mechanical features to make this effect possible.
#3 OH, WAITER, CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT!
This dinner table effect positively creates a sensation. The performer
gathers up a handful of the tablecloth, or napkin, and sets fire to it. The
smoke and sparks fly up. Just as the waiter rushes for the fire extinguisher,
the performer calmly passes his hand over the flames, which immediately
disappear and the table cloth is seen to be fully restored and not harmed in
the least.

A silk handkerchief is shown and the hands are otherwise seen to be empty.
The silk is pushed down through the left fist and as it emerges from the
bottom of the fist, it has changed to an entirely different color and is given
out for examination.
