After showing a deck of playing cards to be completely normal both
faces and backs, the four Aces are removed from the deck and laid
face up on the table. The Ace of Spades is placed away from the
other three Aces. Next, three indifferent cards are placed face down
on each of the three other Aces. The Aces in each stack of four cards
openly and visibly vanish, one at a time! The Ace of Spades which
has been untouched, is slid across the table and the three vanished
aces are now found under this Ace! An entire fresh principle without
double face cards, without sleights, and the four Aces may be left for
full examination!
