A Miracle Penetration
How would you like to have a close-up effect that is a crowd
stopper? Well, Frank Herman's "Glo-Loop" is just that, a zany,
mildly dingy-looking stunt that turns into a dumbfounding magical
effect you'll delight in seeing the shock in people's eyes!
You receive a 3-3/4" tall plastic bottle like a miniature bottle of
cola or orange soda pop, etc. It has a continuous vari-colored
string (call it a cord) running through it from mouth to bottom about
four times as long as the bottle is high. There is also a plastic tube
which is inserted into a hole in the bottle forming a pipe. By
blowing through the pipe, the string is caused to rapidly rotate and
may be made to become rigid in appearance.
After a couple of "impressions" with this weird-looking device, the
performer causes a magic wand, plastic straw, teaspoon, etc. to
SLOWLY AND VISIBLY PENETRATE THE STRING! This is so
astounding, it must be repeated.
Finally, the performer takes a bracelet from his pocket and hangs
it over the stem of the pipe. Blowing through the pipe again to
make the string stand up rigid, the performer slowly causes the
bracelet to visibly penetrate the string! Again, since this is so
unbelievable, the effect must immediately be repeated. Your
problem now will be to find some magic strong or entertaining
enough to follow this.
