Delphic Deck (Zanadu).....$5.00
The performer states that he is about to attempt an experiment in
thought transmission. He will need several volunteers from the
audience who feel they are able to transmit thoughts. The performer
asks that those spectators who have had any experiences in
transmitting thoughts to stand.
The performer removes a deck from the card case and explains that
he will use the images of the cards as the information to be
transmitted the reason being that the card images are clear and
easy to visualize which will make the experiment all the easier.
Five volunteers are selected for the experiment. The performer
takes the deck and shows that the cards are bound together with an
elastic band. He explains that the cards are held in this manner so
that they can be tossed out into the audience without having them fall
in fifty two directions.
The performer tosses the deck to the first volunteer and has them just
peek at a card. The deck is passed to the second volunteer who
also looks at a card. This is repeated with the remaining three
volunteers. The last volunteer throws the deck back to the performer.
Now amazingly, without fail, the performer is able to call out the
names of the cards selected! Please note that all five spectators are
not forced to look a the same card. They actually can see and select
different cards from one another.
This method is extremely effective and clever and there is no danger
of a spectator seeing the same duplicate card as they go to peek at
a card for selection.
