Here's a really different way to levitate a spectator's selected playing
card. It seemingly dances in your hands. After a card is selected and
returned to the deck, you hold the pack up, shake off fifty-one cards
leaving the chosen card suspended in the air!
You explain that it was so happy to be selected that it will do a little
dance. The card then wiggles around in a very excited fashion sure to
get a laugh. Not an earth-shaker but a great little entertaining bit
between your more serious mysteries.
There are no threads or thin wires used so there is nothing to get
tangled or break. You can do this in full light, and it's very easy to do.
