The Billusion - A Magical Dissection of a Bill
This is an original effect devised by Japanese magician Kuniyasu Fujiwara in 1991.
The effect is along the lines of the famous stage illusion "The Zig Zag Lady" but in
this case instead of a person the performer utilizes a bill.
The bill is openly placed into a holder and freely shown on both sides. Suddenly the
audience is aware that the magician has just removed the center section from the
bill which is handed to a spectator to hold. Without a doubt the bill has been clearly
severed into three separate pieces. Now the middle section is taken back from the
spectator and returned to the other two sections of the bill. The performer says to
watch closely and before the audience realize, the bill is completely restored!
The bill just seems to melt back together as it is removed from the holder!
Once you learn the routine you'll see that it can be done with other items like tickets,
pictures, drawings, etc. You receive a specially printed long-type playing card that
can also be used and is what the actual instructions refer to while teaching you the
trick.
